COVID-19 Update

During the last year we have all felt the impact of COVID-19 it has forever changed the hospitality industry & we are now one of the most highly regulated industries. We want to ensure you that we take your safety & the safety of our team with the upmost importance. With that we wanted to let you know what we have been up to behind the scenes since January and how we plan to keep you safe on your visit. Our Team during the first lock down all retook there food hygiene certificates specifically looking at ways to reduce cross contamination and sanitising surfaces to ensure we are safe.  All our glassware have been either thoroughly cleaned & sanitised or replaced where required. Our cutlery & plates have all been sterilised & will continue to be after each use. You will see that our tables will be looking a little on the empty side you will be provided with cutlery, condiments and napkins once you have ordered & drinks will be brought with coasters this will allow us to dispose of the napkins & coasters & sanitise everything between guests.

On entering the pub please access through the front porches this will ensure that we can guide you to a table even for the garden. We have directional signs showing you how to access the building & we will leave as many doors open as the weather will allow to allow air flow through the building.

The government have now issued legislation which will help keep you, other guests and our team safe whilst visiting our pub. The new legislation is:

  • Only visit the pub if you feel well

  • On arrival Please ensure you are wearing a face covering, sanitise your hands and wait to be seated. (You must wear a face covering whenever you are moving around the pub to toilets or outside to smoke etc)

  • Please use the QR code to log entry to the pub & show to your server. Everyone in your party must sign in if they are over the age of 16. Alternatively please ask for a track & trace form. (we will only hold details for 21 days & will only release the details to track & trace if requested) Everyone must complete either the NHS track & trace or a paper version before we will serve you.

  • Social distancing - please respect others space

  • Please do not move the furniture it has been positioned for social distancing

  • Please remain seated in the bar, restaurant & garden it is compulsory table service

  • Please keep children seated & supervise toilet trips

  • Tables can be no more than 6 people or 2 households

  • Please be kind these guidelines are not set by us & they are in place to keep you & our team safe

As you can see we have really put a lot of thought & effort into keeping you safe & have gone above & beyond the guidelines to make you feel comfortable.

Thank you for your cooperation Nat, Jane, Steve & The Red Lion Team
